I just bought a ClouZen TAINER and SSD. I use a MacBook Pro and OS 14. If I'm going to connect the two to copy files to the Mac don't I need to format the SSD for Apple, and if so, where do I do that?
TAINER format internal SSD to exFAT, so you can connect it to both MAC & Windows without problem. One thing to note. MAC sometimes does not detect external USB drive correctly. Specailly first OS after major version up. (that means OS xx.0.0) So if your MAC does not detect TAINER, upgrade your OS to the most recent OS release.
Or see here for additional tip from Ian.
If you add brand new SSD to the TAINER, TAINER ask you format the drive as below step by step.
You can find details on installing and formatting drive at our manual here. [Tainer Manual (Version 1.10)] See page 16 and page 99.
No. You don't need to format it at the MAC.
