Problem whit memory card formated by Roland R44

I have a Roland R44 recorder, which uses an SD memory card formatted in FAT32. When I format the card in the R44, the Tascam (assuming you mean Tascam, not Tainer) doesn't recognize the card. However, if I format the card on a MacBook as FAT32, both the Tascam and the R44 recognize it. Do you know what the problem might be?

TAINER do extensive check on file system of memory card during the memory card detection to avoid possible problem during the backup. That is the reason TAINER detected problem and refuse to work, while others don't.

530023 means INVALID_CLUSTER. That is your SD card contains problem in cluster allocation in FAT table. So run chkdsk at window. That will show detailed reason to you.

Hello Paulo. We are manufacturer of memory card backup storage which name is TAINER. Not Tascam. Googling Tascam, it is portable audio recorder. We copy your SD card to internal SSZD, while Tascam records audio signal into the memory cards. So different device. Please confirm you have problem with TAINER, not TASCAM. Anyway, if FAT32 formatted memory card does not recognised, that is usually some fields

When memory cards come in, TAINER check the file system(in this case FAT32) fields carefully. And if there are some problem, it shows error on the LCD with error codes depends on the problem. Do you see any error code on LCD? I doubt there are wrong fileds on R44 created FAT32 file system. You can try 'chkdsk' command at the windows computer to see if your R44 formatted SD card file system is OK or not. Please see here to know how you can check your SD cards.

Yes, an error code appears on the Tainer's screen; the code is: 00530023.

00530023 means INVALID_CLUSTER. It seems R44 formatted FAT32 has some File Allocation Table related error on it. When memory card connected, TAINER check every files to see if there are any problem or not to prevent possible problem during the backup. But usual device(including computer) does not check every file inside memory card when connected. That is the reason. Please do CHKDSK at the Windows computer to see what is the error of R44 FAT32 formatted memory card.
